My perfectly creamy Matcha Latte

For those of you who are looking for the traditional preparation of Matcha, then please check out this recipe instead. My Matcha latte I created is for people, who like to just quickly throw everything into the Vitamix and let it do its work and magic for you. 

RECIPE

For 2 cups (enough to fill an average size travel mug)

4 soaked organic Brazil nuts (simply soak overnight in water) (antioxidants, protein)

2 Tbsp hemp seeds (minerals, protein, essential fatty acids)

1-2 Tsp organic Matcha (antioxidants, L-Theanine) 

1 Tbsp chia seeds (fiber, essential fatty acids)

1 Tbsp of dates or raw honey (minerals, immune boosting)

pinch of sea salt (flavour enhancing)

2 cups of hot water

DIRECTIONS:

1.     Place all ingredients except for the water in a Vitamix (that’s the only one, which can mix hot liquid without exploding and turning your kitchen into a war zone!!!)

2.     Bring 2 cups of water to boil. Wait 1 minute before you pour it into the blender. If it is too hot, it will scorch the Matcha and leave a bitter flavour.

3.     Blend for 2 minutes until smooth.

4.     By incorporating the soaked brazil nuts, hemp and chia seeds without straining them, your Matcha latte will be exceptionally smooth, creamy and rich. It also adds extra fiber, which will keep you satiated longer and helps to balance your blood sugar.
